Hello.
In the event of any sort of nuclear fallout or disasterous occassion that requires me to escape from my home and enter a life of wandering to safety, I have assebled a 'End of the World Survival Kit'. Basically, it's just things that I would need in order to survive in a long term, post-apocalyptic environment.
This isn't blind paranoia, okay? It's being safe! Video games, movies and various happenings in our currently unstable economy, ecology and... stuff, have led me to believe that the total breakdown of society and order are close at hand.
Actually, no. It's just that I've been playing Left4Dead 2 and Fallout 3 way too much (plus I just bought S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: SoC off steam for $2.50) and I though this would be a fun project. Anyway, if you have any suggestions or comments, that'd be really helpful. Espeially in the First aid/medical section. The list goes as follows:

ALSO, the Zombie Apocalypse scenerio is entirely hypothetical, I'd find it more likely that we'd get tossed mustard gass at (hence the awesome gas mask).
Essentials:
SOME SORT OF PREDETERMINED ESCAPE PLAN
Sturdy glasses... multiple (lasik eye surgery?)
Sturdy rucksack (army surplus?)
Fire set (with kindling, char cloth, flint + scraper)
Shortwave/CB Radio
Torch (long battery life)
Multi-tool (with small knife, can opener, pliers, etc)
